Obituary for Clifford M. Wooten

Mr. Clifford M. Wooten of Clinton, Tennessee departed to be with the Lord on May 21, 2015 at the age of 80. He was born August 15, 1934 in Morgan County, Alabama to Marion and Marie Brown Wooten. He was a US Army veteran, having served honorably during the Korean War.
Mr. Wooten lived most of his adult life in Nashville, Tennessee area, where he successfully managed the Fuller Grocery Store chain; he also worked for the TVA. After retirement, he moved to Dover, Tennessee, where he attended the Ft. Donelson United Methodist Church and sang regularly in the choir. He also sang in the Civil War Singers and was an active member of the Dover Kiwanis Club. He will be particularly remembered for his roles in the local drama productions.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, five children, and numerous grandchildren; one brother, Billy R. Wooten; and four sisters, Dot McMeans, Shirley Stephens, Mary Lou Bartlett, and Demaris Travers.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Ft. Donelson United Methodist Church, Dover, Tennessee. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am, with interment taking place at 1:00 pm in the Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
