Marvin “Cordell” Wallace, 90 of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Signature Healthcare, Clarksville, TN. Funeral services will held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Del Morgan and Rev. Louis Montoya officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 5-8:00 pm and Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 11:00 am until the hour of services at Anglin Funeral Home.
He was born April 22, 1924 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Jim and Pearl Wallace Wallace. Mr. Wallace retired from Ft. Campbell Civil Service after 45 years of service, was a bail bondsman for Stewart Co. for 20 years, and was a member of Taylor’s Chapel Church of God. In April, he and his wife, Elizabeth, would have been married 72 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and son in law, Don Evans. Survivors include his wife Mary Elizabeth Taylor Wallace, Clarksville, TN, son, Dale Wallace (Margaret), Big Rock, TN, daughters, Betty Downs (Richard), Clarksville, TN, Patsy Taylor (Ronnie) Mount Pleasant, SC, Sandra K. Evans, Clarksville, TN, sister, Grace Greenhill, Clarksville, TN, ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, including Maddox Wallace Nash who was named in Cordell’s honor, and one great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters.
