Andrew Jackson Scalf, 80 of Dover, TN passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Emmett Sexton and Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 4-8:00 pm and on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 12-2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.
He was born August 29, 1935 in Greene County, TN son of the late Mack and Hattie Pauline Jeffers Scalf. Mr. Scalf was retired from TVA. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Tracy Scalf and brothers, Jackie Scalf, George Scalf, Darren Scalf and sister, Bessie Harrod. Survivors include his wife, Murl Cherry Scalf, Dover, TN, daughter, Karen Bumpus (Brett), Dover, TN, daughter in law, Jeanie Shannon (Joe), Dickson, TN, brothers, Dewey Scalf (Annie), Murray, KY, Horace Scalf, Rocky Mount, VA, Paul Armstrong, Forrest City, NC, Jerry Armstrong (Diane), Maryville, TN, sisters, Kay Allison, Oak Ridge, TN, Susan Kay (Gary Sharp), Knoxville, TN and grandchildren, Carson Bumpus, William Scalf, Jared Scalf, Joshua Shannon, Noah Shannon and Callie Jo Shannon. Pallbearers will be Carson Bumpus, William Scalf, Jared Scalf, Brandon Scalf, Anthony Cherry and Wilton Cherry.
