Sammie Marie Keatts, 92 of Dover, TN passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Manor House of Dover. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Dover First Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Ben Middendorf officiating. Burial will follow in the Heflin Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 4-6:00 pm at the Dover First Church of the Nazarene. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 22, 1922 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Sam William Rittenberry and Bertha Hembree Rittenberry. Mrs. Keatts was a homemaker and was a devoted caregiver for people with special needs. She was also a charter member of the Dover First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hassell C. Keatts, brothers, Bill Trump, Charlie Rittenberry and Rance Rittenberry, sisters, Anner Lee Hayden, Annie Rae Harris and Margaret Rittenberry. Survivors include her sons, Herbert Keatts, Dover, TN, Oneal Keatts, Big Rock, TN, daughters, Ann Keatts, Hollywood, FL, Judy Johnson, Hollywood, FL and Katie Gaudino, Ellensburd, WA, brother, Daniel Rittenberry, Oak Park, IL, sisters, Edna Stagner, Cunningham, TN and Christean Lawrence, Dover, TN, ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Family will be pallbearers.
