William Rorie

William “Bill” Rorie, age 78 of Indian Mound, TN was called home to be with the Lord September 13, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare, Clarksville, TN. He was born November 8, 1942 the son of the late William and Addie Mae Castile Rorie. Bill was a hard worker and provider for his family retired from Averitt Sawmill Company, Clarksville, TN also worked at Wright & Lopez Construction installing telephone cable. He was a faithful servant as a member of Dunbar Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; James Rorie and sister; Patsy Rorie.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Carol Thomas Rorie, daughter; Debbie Taylor (Michael) Dover, TN, sons; William Eugene Rorie (Crystal) and Virgil Rorie both of Indian Mound, TN, brothers; Ted Rorie, Marshall Rorie, Gene Rorie all of Indian Mound, TN, sisters; Peggy Rorie, Patricia Boone both of Indian Mound, TN, and Betty Hutchinson, Bumpus Mills, TN. He also leaves behind two grandsons; one granddaughter and one great grandson.

A graveside service will be held at Dunbar Cemetery Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:30 am with Brian Grasty officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
