William Atkins

Mr. William Joel Atkins, age 75, of Dover, passed away, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Standing Rock Cemetery, with Rev. William Gray to officiate, burial will follow. Family will serve as pallbearers. He was born May 27, 1937 in Stewart County, son of the late Paul and Ethel Norfleet Atkins. He is preceded in death by his children, Joel Atkins and Carla Atkins, brothers, Charles Atkins, Reams Atkins, sisters, Frances Unger and Margaret Herndon. He is survived by his sister, Ann Steeley and several nieces and nephews.
