Wallace Aaron Griffey, 84 of Dover, TN passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Jacqueline Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5-8:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.
He was born October 13, 1930 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Lacey and Nannie Shirley Griffey. Mr. Griffey was retired from Auburn University where he worked in research and administration, was a U.S. Army veteran and a Methodist. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Freda Heyer Griffey, sister, Shirley Burkhart and brothers, John Griffey, Garner Griffey and Hubert Griffey. Survivors include his son, Wallace L. Griffey, Lucedale, MS, daughter, April Griffey, Paris, TN, and sister, Eleanor Matthews, Houston, TX.
