Virginia Cottrell

Ms. Virginia “Polly” Cottrell, age 88, of Clarksville, TN passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020. She was born April 13, 1932 in Cadiz, KY, daughter of the late Homer Peal and Iva Downs Peal. Ms. Cottrell attended the New Life Pentecostal Church in Elkton, KY and when she resided in Dover, she attended the Ft. Donelson Pentecostal Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lore Truman Cottrell, brother, Marcus Peal, sisters, Dorothy Griffith and Velma Cagle, and one grandchild, David Spears.
Survivors include her children, Joyce (Wayne) Hammons, Judy (Roger) Spears, Larry (Teresa) Cottrell, Eugene (Dawn) Cottrell, Randy (Pam Hodges) Cottrell, and Terry (Annette) Cottrell all of Clarksville, brothers, Bobby Peal, Martin, TN, Gene Peal, Hazel, KY, Bill Peal, Lynnville, KY, sister, Robbie McReynolds, Mayfield, KY, 17 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN. Due to concerns for large gatherings, the funeral service and burial will be reserved for family. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Clarksville, TN. Michael Griffis, John Griffis, Kevin Cottrell, Justin Hammons, Nathan Cottrell, and Brady Henson will serve as pallbearers.
