Violet Crowe

Violet Gray Crowe, 86, Dover, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Montgomery Care and Rehabilitation Center, Clarksville, TN. The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am-1:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home at Anglin Funeral Home.
Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 25, 1923 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late George and Annie Hilmus Gray. Mrs. Crowe graduated from Dover High School, Draughons Business School, Nashville, TN and Harvard University, Cambridge, MA. She was employed at the Harvard Business School of Administration for 27 years, retired in 1996 and returned to Stewart County. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Walter Crowe, sister, Berniece Acree, and four brothers, Lathan, Thorton, Eldon and Wilford. Survivors include two brothers, Russell Gray, Clarksville, and Chester Gray, Rockville, MD and thirteen nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Frankie Gray, Billy Gray, George Gray, Fritz Gray, Nathan Acree and Mike Gray.
