Vernon Keegan

May 27, 1924 — July 12, 2016

Vernon N. Keegan was born May 27, 1924 in Chicago to Caroline Trunk Keegan and Peter Edward Keegan. He passed from this life on July 12, 2016 at the Paris Healthcare Center in Paris, Tennessee. During his childhood he lived in Chicago and then his family moved to Wisconsin. He joined the Army and faithfully served his country during WWII. He was a truck driver most of his life. He raised his family in Ohio, then after retirement, moved to Tennessee to work at Piney Campground with his wife Nancy. He was preceded in death by his parents who both passed in 1968 and his wife Nancy, who passed on October 25, 2006. He is survived by 3 sons, Jeff from Arizona, Jerry from Virginia and Mike from Ohio. He has 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Paris Healthcare Center for the excellent care and companionship he received while he was there. The family also wishes to thank his neighbors who were always there to help in times of need. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dover, Tennessee VFW.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 10:00 am at the New Liberty Cemetery, Buchanan, TN. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Inc., Dover, TN.
