Verda Whitford

Verda Lorene Olive Whitford, 97, Dover, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Manor House of Dover. The funeral will be held at 11:00am Thursday at Anglin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-6 pm Wednesday at Anglin Funeral Home. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born Feb. 16, 1913 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Smith and Thedus Lancaster Olive. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Whitford, four sisters and seven brothers. Survivors include her nieces, Janet Timmons Lancaster, Franklin, TN and Jeannie Timmons Lyon, Dover, TN and nephews, Randall Timmons, Dover, TN and Dale Whitford, Stockbridge, GA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
