Truman Miller

Mr. Truman Ray Miller, age 78 of Big Rock, TN passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024 at Dover Care Center Nursing Home. He was born on August 1, 1945 the son of the late Winfield and Beula Compton Miller. Truman loved the Lord. He was a member and served as the pastor for several years at Fairview Baptist Church, Dover, TN. He worked many years as a quality manager and supervisor at Ely & Walker and Carhartt clothing factories. Truman was a big fan of St. Louis Cardinals and TN Vols. Truman was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Sharon Joiner Miller; brothers, Dean Miller, Wilbert Miller, Roger Miller, Wayne Miller and Ronald Miller; grandson, Caleb Miller and grand-pup, Avery.

He is survived by his daughter, Kendra Crowe; son, Jonathan Miller; sister, Ilene “Sissie” Miller; grandchildren, Kylee Crowe, Chloe Crowe, Breannidy Miller and Madison Miller; nieces, Julie Milliken, Stephanie Kelley and Stormie Black and nephew, David Welker.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Fairview Baptist Church on April 13, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the memorial service at 1:00 pm with Bro. William Gray officiating. The family request if you are able to attend the service, please feel free to wear St. Louis Cardinals or TN Vols attire.
