Albert Vires

Mr. Albert Vires, age 87, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Dover Care Center with his family by his side. Born in Stewart County, Tennessee, Albert was the beloved son of the late Wilson and Bertha Mabel Williams Vires.

Albert and his wife, Loretta was a faithful member of New Hope Church of God. He actively served and participated in many church activities throughout the years. He loved the Lord and lived his life according to God's Word. His strong faith was evident in the way he cared for others, served his community, and devoted himself to his family and church.

Albert was a dedicated worker and provider for his family. He worked for the Pepsi Company for several years before devoting many years of service to public safety. During his career, he served with Stewart County EMS and the Stewart County Sheriff's Department. He enjoyed his work and took great pride in serving the community he loved. Following his retirement, Albert continued serving others as an Assistant Funeral Director with Anglin Funeral Home. He was always willing to help those in need and remained devoted to serving and caring for his community throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Evelyn Vires.

Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Loretta Vires; his precious daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Marlin Grimes; and his cherished grandchildren, Tracy Lehman and Shawn Lehman-Grimes great grandchildren; Collin Lehman, Riley Rose, McKinley and Britley Lehman, Sofia and Fiona Lehman. He was deeply loved by his family and leaves behind many friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Jay Bragdon will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Lehman, Shawn Lehman-Grimes, Collin Lehman, Hugh Dennis, Ricky Dennis, and Wayne Anglin.

Albert's legacy of service, kindness, and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
