Thomas Richardson

June 3, 1948 — September 21, 2013

Thomas K. "Tommy" Richardson, born June 3, 1948, son of the late Thomas and Judith Lewis Richardson, passed from this life to his heavenly home on September 21, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tommy was a retired farmer and construction worker. He enjoyed the outdoors whether he was fishing off the river bank, hunting pheasants in Kansas, or wild boar in Texas, with his longtime friend, Ted Johnson. He was a born-again Christian and a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church. One of his greatest joys was seeing others laugh even if the joke was on him. During his chemotherapy treatments he would have the staff and fellow patients laughing before he left. He brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Patricia "Pat" Richardson, whom he married on May 28, 1979, a twin sister, Judith Gaye Lehman (Wayne), parents-in-law, Ray and Janet Richardson, brother-in-law, Ronnie Richardson, nephews, Thomas Wayne Lehman, and William Brett Lehman, honorary niece Mary Beth Edwards, and honorary nephew, Aaron Edwards. A celebration of life will be held at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN, on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Mitchell Allen officiating assisted by Bro. David Evans. Visitation for family and friends will begin on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm and Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 11:00 am until the time of service.
