Elizabeth ‘Sue’ Wyatt, 85, of Murray, KY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 20, 1939, in Port Royal, TN, she was the cherished daughter of the late Epsie Washington and Frances Ailene Cherry Heflin.
Sue worked for many years as a beautician, developing close relationships with her clients who adored her. She was an avid reader and found joy in the world of books. Above all, she deeply loved her children and grandchildren, finding immense happiness in spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her first husband, Reemy Gillum and her second husband, Edward Lee Wyatt; children, Johnny and Kimberly Gillum; brothers, Billy, Arlen, and Wayne Heflin; and sisters, JoAnn Williams, Marcelline Martin, Kathy Smith, and Bobbi.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sherry Lewis (Mark); son, James Wyatt (Misty); grandchildren, Samuel Lewis, Daniel Lewis, Muranda Hogshooter (Lukas), Alexandra Wyatt, Cassie Wyatt, and Levi Wyatt; sister, Nancy Mullins, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sue’s family and friends will remember her fondly for her warmth, kindness, and the love she so freely gave.
A visitation and funeral service will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am, with the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Serving as pallbearers are Mark Lewis, Scott Kring, Philip Myers, Chris Welker, Lucas Hogshooter, Matthew Cotter and Tim Barrow.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children Research or Blue Monarch Women’s Recovery, Tullahoma, TN.
