Shirley Clay

Shirley Carol ‘Shay’ Clay, age 82 of Clarksville, TN, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Walking Horse Meadows, Clarksville, TN. She was born February 4, 1934 in Dante, Virginia, daughter of the late Bud Homer and Nannie Ella Mutter Harvey.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Wesley Clay, brother, Eugene Harvey, and sister, Geraldine Mullins.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Mills (John) Christiansburg, VA, Terri Gillespie (Wayne), Clarksville, TN, Robin Oliver (Larry), Dover, TN, Jennifer Clarke (Alan), Clarksville, TN, sisters, Patty Trent, Bristol, VA, Brenda Booth, Johnson City, TN, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Steve Phillips officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 pm on Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Oliver, Wes Gillespie, Jacob Etherton, Dustin Outlaw, Mike Garske, Ryan Kanyuh, Wesley Clarke, Michael Jackson.
