Shawn Cherry

Shawn Thomas Cherry, age 41, of Dover, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. John Polk and Bro. James Bates to officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, in LBL. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 12:00 until the time of service Sunday. He was born September 30, 1971 in Murray, KY, son of Wilton and Barbara Melton Cherry. Mr. Cherry was a truck driver and a member of the Dover Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Cherry. Survivors include his father, Wilton Cherry (Mary Anne), Dover, brother, Anthony Cherry (Leann), Dover, grandmother, Edna Melton "Memaw" , Dover, former spouse, Angela Cherry, Dover, step brother, Brodie Kennedy, Ft. Carson, CO, step sister, Jessica Kennedy Griffith, McPherson, KS, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Eddie Baggett, Thomas Grasty, Deon Byrd, Carson Bumpus, Marty Nolin, McCall Gafford, John Gafford, and David Bevill.
