Sfc Charles Hollinsworth

SFC Charles Michael Hollinsworth, age 68 of Big Rock, TN passed away November 23, 2021 at Tennova Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1953 the son of the late Leo and Betty Hollinsworth. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of Sycamore Flat Church of Christ. He proudly served his country for 23 years before retiring from the U.S. Army. After retirement, he worked as a foreman at Averitt Lumber Company. He was the owner and operator of Mike’s gun shop in Big Rock, TN.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother; Ricky Hollinsworth.

He is survived by his loving and devoted with of 34 years, Peggy Hollinsworth, daughters; Wendy Reyes (Roy) of Corpus Christi, TX, Dawn Bannister (Shaun) of Flat River, MO, Lisa Schmittou of Big Rock, TN, brothers; Billy Hollinsworth of Ft. Myers, FL, Johnny Hollinsworth, David Hollinsworth, Dennis Hollinsworth all of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren; Travis Schmittou and Isabella Reyes.

Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 am and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Sycamore Flat Church of Christ with Bro. John Maltais officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
