Sarah Louise (Page) Sholar, 93, Dover, died passed from this life on Monday, July 12, 2010, at Murray Calloway Co. Hospital. The funeral will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 pm Tuesday and from 2-3:00 pm Wednesday at Anglin Funeral Home.
Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born October 26, 1916 in Calloway Co., KY daughter of the late Pearl and Isaac A. Page. At the age of three, she moved with her family to the Bumpus Mills area of Stewart Co., TN where she lived for the next 80 years. She moved to Dover in 1998. She married Rymon L. Sholar on April 29, 1939. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage. Mrs. Sholar was a member of Tobacco Port Methodist Church and a lifelong homemaker and with great pride she often pointed out that her greatest accomplishment was the rearing and guiding of her children to adulthood. To the very end of her life, she remained very much a part of the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, daughter in law, Rose Sholar and grandson, Jason Sholar. Mrs. Sholar is survived by all of her seven children, Nelda Cain and husband, James of Benton, KY, Faye Phillips and husband, Harold of Murray, KY, Rymon L. Sholar, Jr. and wife, Felicia of Clarksville, Ron Sholar and wife, Linda of Stillwater, OK, Roger Sholar of Bumpus Mills, Cheryl Milliken and husband, Alfred of Dover, and Ken Sholar and wife, Brenda of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
