Sandra Mathis

Ms. Sandra L. Mathis, age 72 of Dover, TN passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born November 5, 1947 in Middletown, OH, daughter of the late James and Florence Mclean. Ms. Mathis attended the Dyers Creek First Church of God. She was a retired LPN and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bob O'Neal. She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald Mathis, children, Julie Mathis, Jennifer Mathis Hewell, Joe Mathis, and Josh (Megan) Mathis; sister, Connie Williams; and grandchildren, May (Matthew) Plyler, Slaton Mathis, Harley Mathis, Denver Hewell, Adalia Hewell, Isabelle Bumpus, and Jonah Mathis.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Donald Mathis Cemetery, Dover, TN, with Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. The family will host a celebration of life reception at 2:00 pm at Dyers Creek First Church of God. Pallbearers will be Slaton Mathis, Denver Hewell, Matthew Plyler, Steve Schmit, Jamie Wagner, and Billy Bumpus.
