Sandra L. Carpenter, age 80, of Buchanan, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
She was born on January 2, 1945, in Dickson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Homer and Opal Boone McCoy. Sandy had a deep love for boating, gardening, and crafting, hobbies that brought her much joy throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Carpenter, whom she married in 1966; her brother, Homer McCoy; her son-in-law, Donald Kenyon; her grandson, Donald Kenyon, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Frank Imbrunone.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Kenyon; her brother, Wid Thomas McCoy (Rita); her sisters, Joan Imbrunone and Barbara Guzman (Ed); her grandson, Kyle Kenyon; the mothers of her great-grandchildren, Kelly and Natalie; and her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Charles, Robert, Kiley, Annabella, Jacob, and Nathan.
Sandy will be remembered for her kind spirit, love of family, and joyful heart.
A graveside service will be held on May 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Dover, TN with Bro. Don Bailey officiating.
