Sallie Newman

Sallie Ann Newman, age 80, of Granite City, IL, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, at her residence. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, at Anglin Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be form 4-7 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home. She was born January 20, 1933 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Allen "Buck" and Lockey Fitzhugh Thomason. Mrs. Newman was a homemaker, member of the 1st Baptist Church, Union, MO and had worked in the pre-school. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Newman, brothers, Freeman Thomason and Milford Thomason and sisters, Aline Robertson, Gatcie Parrish and Maudie Doyle and a grandson,Keith Klump. Survivors include her children, Debra Goodman, Granite City, IL, Rockey Newman, Granite City, IL, Gemi Wiedemann, Fenton, MO, grandchildren, Eric Klumpp, Sara Newman, Amy White, Belinda Haug, Aaron Newman, Brian Newman, all of Granite City, IL, Shawn Newman, Arkansas, Justin Wiedemann, Katelyn Wiedemann, Derrick Wiedemann, Sky Wiedemann, Lacie Wiedemann, all of Fenton, MO, sisters, Virginia Joiner and Nona Harris, both of Dover, TN, Margie Wallace and Marcellia Doyle, both of Granite City, IL, brothers, Eugene Thomason, Edwardsville, IL and Don Thomason, Dover, TN and numerous great grandchildren.
