Ruby Peacher

Mrs. Ruby Tippit Peacher, age 98, of Indian Mound, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 5, with Bro. David Lunsford and Bro. Garrett Milliken officiating. Burial will be in the Seay Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Tuesday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her caregivers.
She was born August 5, 1917 in Indian Mound, daughter of the late William Augustus and Annie Bernice Seay Tippit. Mrs. Peacher was a member of the Indian Mound United Methodist Church. She was a retired teacher from the Stewart County School System as well as, a writer, poet, pianist, and a member of the Historical Society.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Peacher, son, Dr. Artie Peacher, brothers, John Tippit, Herman Tippit, sisters, Alberta Kelsey, Ruth Neblett, Dorothy Tippit, and Mildred George. She is survived by her loving children, Teddy Peacher (Donna), Huntsville, AL, Dr. Terry Peacher (Jing), Clarksville, TN, William Peacher (Patricia), Cadiz, KY, Wanda Peacher, Dover, TN, daughter-in-law, Connie Peacher, Dover, nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
