Roy Taylor

Roy W. Taylor, 90, Dover, TN passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Alive Hospice Residence, Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Aquila Penrod and Rev. Steve Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor's Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 5-8:00 pm and on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 9-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born September 25, 1921 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Gilbert and Creola Ralls Taylor. Mr. Taylor was retired Civil Service, U. S. Army WWII Veteran and a member of the Dover VFW. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Mathis Taylor, daughter, Beverly Shepherd, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his son, Danny (Beverly) Taylor, Big Rock, TN; daughter, Nena Taylor-Reese, Geneva, Switzerland; sister, Elizabeth Wallace, Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Mandy Taylor Asolas, Phoenix, AZ, Adam D. Taylor, Dover, TN, Dylan Taylor, Dover, TN and great grandchildren, Jake Asolas, Eli Asolas and Cole Taylor. Pallbearers will be Adam Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Jerry Shepherd, George Ralls, Thomas H. Earhart and Mike Ross. Honorary pallbearers will be David Hill, Mark Anglin and Howard Lee Jobe.
