Roy Barker

Mr. Roy Barker, age 83 of Tennessee Ridge, TN was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born in Stewart County, TN on November 20, 1939. He is the beloved son of the late Jackson and Nora Christopher Barker. Mr. Roy loved watching the world from his front porch. Mr. Roy was a hard worker and provider for his family. He retired from Vulcan Rubber Company, Clarksville, TN. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Carlisle Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Milton; several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Gracie Pepper Barker; daughters, Kim Barker Myers (Steven Sumner) and Crystal Dennis (Brandon) both of Tennessee Ridge, TN; grandchildren, Michael Myers, Chelsea Myers, Jackson Sumner, Stephen Milton, Bryan Milton, Jason Milton, Joey Milton, Katie Milton, Brandy Miller, Gavin Dennis, Jonathan Dennis, Kaithlyn Dennis, Brea Sumner and Kaelyn Alleyne and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Anglin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am and continuing until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Bro. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Hamm Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
