Rosemary D. Sherman, age 62, of Indian Mound, Tennessee, passed away on June 30, 2026, at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 4, 1963, to the late Leroy Arthur Forbes and Sarah Nancy Blass Forbes.

Rosemary had a heart full of compassion, and caring for others brought her the greatest joy. She dedicated much of her life to working in healthcare, providing loving care to residents in nursing homes and assisting families in their homes with their healthcare needs.

Her compassion extended far beyond people to the animals she loved so dearly. For more than two decades, Rosemary worked tirelessly alongside local animal rescue organizations and volunteers, helping save homeless and abandoned animals and finding them loving forever homes. In 2010, she co-founded Stewart County Faithful Friends Animal Rescue, creating a lasting legacy of hope and compassion for countless animals in need.

Rosemary also dedicated 12 years to the Animal Clinic of Stewart County, where she had the privilege of doing what she loved most-caring for animals and making a difference in their lives each and every day. Her unwavering devotion, gentle spirit, and tireless advocacy touched the lives of both animals and the people who loved them, leaving an enduring impact on her community.

Rosemary will be remembered for her kind heart, selfless spirit, and unwavering dedication to both people and animals. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Rosemary is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 39 years, Bruce H. Sherman; siblings, Arthur Forbes (Annie), Floyd Forbes (Linda), Nancy Alcock (Dan), Shirley Hayes, Carol Bennett, Sandra Ray, Theresa Murphy, Roger Forbes (Shirley), Hazel Lee, Walter Forbes; sister-in-law, Linda Forbes and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Joyce Forbes; brother, Gary Forbes, father-in-law, William Augustus Sherman and her beloved dog, Reba.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Keeping with Rosemary's wishes she will be cremated.
