Rosann Griggs Carson, 61, Big Rock, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Dover, TN. The funeral will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at Bumpus Mills Church of Christ with Jason Allison officiating. Burial to follow in the Smith Cemetery, Big Rock. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm Friday and Saturday 1:00- 2:00 pm at Bumpus Mills Church of Christ. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carson was born November 12, 1952, in Clarksville, TN, daughter of the late George Andrew Griggs and Julia Louise Sanderson. She was a member of the Bumpus Mills Church of Christ and retired after 30 years of teaching at North Stewart Elementary.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Francis Carson, Jr., step mother, Ellen Griggs, sister, Shirley Haynie Pike. Survivors include her children, Amy (Jason) Allison, Kingston Springs, TN, Lee Andrew Carson, Big Rock , TN, sister, Carolyn (Dale) Whitford, Stockbridge, GA, brother-in-law, David (Diane) Carson and five grandchildren, Bailey, Brette, Sydney, Blake Michael, and Blake Easton. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to the Lylewood Christian Camp, P.O. Box 476, Clarksville, TN 37040 and Stewart County School System Backpack Program, P.O. Box 367 Dover, TN 37058.
