Ronnie Porter

Mr. Ronnie Porter, age 76, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Dover Care Center. He was born on February 7, 1950, to Lacy and Beauford Pearl Porter.

Ronnie lived a simple and meaningful life, finding joy in the things he loved most. He enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica simply for the pleasure of making music. He had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and loved fishing, hunting, and taking in the sights and sounds found along the riverbank and deep in the back country woods.

Above all, Ronnie loved his family deeply. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with his loved ones and took great joy in making lasting memories with each of them.

Ronnie loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Chestnut Grove Church of Christ. His faith was an important part of his life. He enjoyed spending time in God's Word, participating in church activities, and sharing fellowship with his church family and friends.

Ronnie will be remembered for his simple way of life, his love of the outdoors, his musical spirit, his devotion to the Lord, and, most of all, the love he had for his family. He leaves behind many cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maratha Jean Page Porter; brothers, Paul Dean Porter and Lacy Porter, Jr.; and nephew, Chris Porter.

He leaves a loving family to cherish his memory, nieces, Kayla Porter Hallock (Joseph), Kimberly Eckard, (Daniel), Cassandra Porter, Brianna Porter, and Samantha Porter; nephew, Cody Porter (Kathii); great nieces and nephews, Gracie Eckard, Austin Porter, Reanna Porter, Harper Porter, Jace Hallock, and Jack Hallock.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Anglin Funeral Home with funeral service following at 1:00 pm with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Joseph Hallock, Cody Porter, Austin Porter, Stacey Page, Zack Page and Roger Gillespie.
