Mr. Ronald Dean Peter of Bumpus Mills, TN, formerly of Hollow Rock, TN, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his home. He was born November 16, 1936 in Garden City, KS son of the late Harvey Dallas Peter and Rosella Steinkhuler Peter. After 20 years of service to his country in the US Airforce, Mr. Peter retired and began his second career farming. He owned and operated Peter Hog Farm in Hollow Rock, TN for nearly 20 years. He is a member of the VFW, American Legion, and DAV.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Lynn Higdon and sister, Dorothy Ann Rizhallah.
Mr. Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Clark Peter, sons, Charles Douglas Peter, Boscawen, NH, and Harvey Dallas Peter, II, Salisbury, NH, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 21 at the Bumpus Mills Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bumpus Mills Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee.
