Robert Tilson

Robert Tilson, Jr., 79, Big Rock, passed away, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at his residence. The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home, with Rev. Melvin Dunaway officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Mr. Tilson was born March 25, 1932, son of Robert and Ethel Ownby Tilson. He was a deacon and member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Erin, TN, owner of Tire Headquarters, and a Korean War Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Freddie Mae Tilson, children, Sharon Martinez, Rose Jacobson, three brothers, and one sister. Survivors include his children, Vianna Norman, Clarksville, Robbie Finney, Clarksville, Amy Hyder, Clarksville, Ethel Blackwell, Vonore, TN, Danny Tilson, Big Rock, James Tilson, Big Rock, sisters, Marie Vance, Myrtle Ogle, Betty Ogle, Barbara Presley, Beverly Samples, Mary Latham, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
