Robert Mann

Robert Hilory Mann, 94 of Indian Mound, TN passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 1, 1922 in Indian Mound, TN son of the late Thomas Hilory and Dora Elizabeth (Betty) Wolfe Mann. Mr. Mann was in the Civilian Conservation Corps, a U.S. Army WWII veteran, a farmer, taxi cab driver, and a school bus driver. He owned and operated Mann’s Bi-Rite in Indian Mound for over 30 years. He also owned a pool room and a restaurant. Mr. Mann served on the Board of Directors at Farmer’s Bank and Trust Company in Indian Mound. He was a Methodist.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Lucille Mullins Mann, brother, Tom Mann and sisters, Rosalie Moore Galford, Marjorie Ezell and Lela Heflin. Survivors include his sisters, Dolly Smith Norris, Clarksville, TN, Ann Elizabeth Harrison, Dover, TN, brother, J.B. Mann, Indian Mound, TN, many nieces and nephews, and caregivers, Audrey Stapelton, Amber Treat and Cindy Ulrich.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 4-8:00 pm and on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1-2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Fred Smith, David Smith, Marty Grasty, Jimmy Mullins, Ed Peppard, and Jerry Harrison. Members of the Mann and Mullins families will serve as honorary pallbearers.
