Robbie Lee Chandler Blane

Robbye Chandley Blane, age 94 of Lascassas, TN, formerly of Dover, TN passed away on Easter
Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Vanderbilt Hospital.

Robbie was born on February 24, 1929 in Dover, TN (Stewart County) to the late Charles Alex
Chandley and Mabel Sarah Dabbs Chandley. She lived in Dover until she was 89 years old and
moved to Lascassas, TN (Rutherford County) in 2018 to be close to her family. Robbie was an 80
year member of Dover First Christian Church where she served as Treasurer for many years.
After moving to Lascassas, she attended and enjoyed the friendliness of Lascassas Baptist
Church, officially transferring her membership in July 2020.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 11:00 at the Chapel of Anglin
Funeral Home followed by burial at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Kenneth Summy officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 and from
10:00-11:00 am on Thursday, April 13, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, beloved
husband Henry Dee Blane of 68 years, youngest son Chandley Keith Blane, and sisters Mabel
Sarah Chandley Hester, Charlene Chandley Tubbs Borens, Martha Callene Chandley Crockarell,
and Lorene Chandley Smith.

Robbie worked many places throughout her life: Dill’s Store, Gibbs Motor Sales, Dr. G.E. Smith,
and retired from Washington Mfg Company where she was Office Manager and the Stewart
Houston Times where she was a Business Manager. Following retirement, she continued to
work part time at Stewart Houston Times, was a Crew Leader for the 1960 US Department of
Commerce Bureau of Census in Stewart County, worked in the Health Station for Outages of
TVA Fossil Plant, and was Secretary and Board Member of the Stewart County Senior Citizens.
Additionally, she and her husband were instrumental in organizing the Stewart County Riding
Club where she served as reporter, secretary, and treasurer for many years and was the first
female member and rider. Henry and Robbie also helped organize Dover Squares Dance Club.

Robbie with her husband and sons Kevin and Keith enjoyed many things: boating, raising and
showing horses, and summer vacations. In her later years, she enjoyed taking grandchildren
Kala and Ryan Blane somewhere for a week every year. She also thankfully lived to enjoy great-
grandchildren Brooke, Kinsley, and Isaiah Robinson of Lascassas, TN and Lorelei, Lillian, and
Helena Blane of Rockvale, TN.

Survivors include son Henry Kevin Blane (Colleen) of Murfressboro, TN, two grandchildren Kala
Rose Blane Robinson (Shawn) of Lascassas, TN and Ryan Keith Blane (Christina) of Rockvale, TN.
Great grandchildren Brooke Leanne Robinson, Kinsley Rose Robinson, and Isaiah Matthew
Robinson of Lascassas, TN and Lorelei Vivienne Blane, Lillian Clara Blane, and Helena Grace
Blane of Rockvale, TN. Brother Charles Alex Chandley Jr of Knoxville, TN along with many nieces
and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers: Ryan Blane, Shawn Robinson, Randy Blane, Todd
Atkins, Scott Atkins, Marlin Lynn Blane, and Scotty Blane. Honorary Pallbearers are Loretta
Threatt Wallace and Bonnie Lill.
