Rita Rowlett

Ms. Rita Rowlett, age 68 of Stewart, TN passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024 at Tennova Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 10, 1956 in Houston, TN the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth Whitehead and Margaret Westerman. She worked a few years at Dover Products. Rita had a kind spirit and loving heart for everyone. She especially enjoyed sitting and caring for elderly in their home. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts and working crossword puzzles. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed having them come home for visits and to make memories. After her retirement she and Ray enjoyed spending quality time together.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father; James Robert Westerman; brother, Ronald Whitehead; sister, Brenda Whitehead and grandson, Sean Rowlett.

She leaves behind her loving family; life partner of 30 years; Ray Woods; sons, Tim Rowlett (Angela), Michael Rowlett (Deborah); step-son, Ricky Woods all of Dover, TN; daughter, Meredith Russell (Doug) of Dover, TN; step-brother, Jim Westerman of Stewart, TN and step-daughter, Tanya Tippit (Jamie) of Big Rock, TN; sister, Freda Fallowell and half-sister, Lila Wallace both of Dover, TN; 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 9, 2024 beginning at11:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Bro. David Whitehead and Bro Charlie Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Thomas Rowlett, James Whitehead, William Rowlett, Steven Jackson Brandon Woods and Ricky Woods.
