Rhonda Crutcher Byrd Lay

Mrs. Rhonda Crutcher Byrd Lay, age 68, of Dover, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025. She was born on December 17, 1956, in Murray, KY, the daughter of the late Gene Crutcher and Ronetta Dill Crutcher.

Rhonda was a devoted member of the Ft. Donelson Pentecostal Church of God, where she faithfully served as both secretary and treasurer. She was also a proud member of Iron Mountain 412 Order of the Eastern Star and served as the 2018 Grand Organist for the State of Tennessee Order of the Eastern Star. Rhonda retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority after nearly 30 years of dedicated service.

One of her greatest joys was supporting her grandchildren, especially attending their ballgames.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Byrd.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bryan Lay; her son, Mitchell Byrd; grandchildren, Makayleigh "Pepper" Byrd and Jonathan Byrd; and her sister, Cheryl Blunk (Robert).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Anglin Funeral Home, and will continue on Monday, August 18, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Ft. Donelson Pentecostal Church of God. Brother Brian Gelande will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Grace Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Byrd, Jim Dowdy, Joe Miller, Jonathan Byrd, Joseph Blunk, Ryan Brown, and Wes Byrd.
