Raymond Louis 'Lee' Smith, age 64, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, with his loving family by his side. Born on September 11, 1961, Lee was the beloved son of Raymond Louis Smith and Elsie Jones Abbott.

Lee, as he was fondly known, had a passion for old cars and enjoyed spending time working on them in his garage. A self-employed mechanic, he was highly knowledgeable about the workings of older model vehicles and took great pride in his ability to repair and restore them.

Above all, Lee loved his family. He cherished every moment spent with his children, and his precious grandchildren brought immense joy to his life. His fiancée, Rhonda, was the love of his life and remained faithfully by his side through all of life's good times and difficult moments.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Louis Smith and Elsie Jones Abbott.

Lee leaves behind his family to cherish their memories they shared, his fiancée, Rhonda Hayes; son, Cameron Shannon; daughters, Mackayla Smith, Carleigh Smith, bonus daughters; Heather Wolff (Phillip) and Jessica Cathey (Kasey); sister, Debbra Kent (Randy); brothers, Frank M. Abbott, III, Tafton Abbott (Reene), Dalon 'Buffy' Abbott, Geoff Abbott (Shala), Ricky Keel; and 10 precious grandchildren.

Lee will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery, Dover with Bro. William Gray officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Neal, Garrett Abbott, Garrett Brown, Logan Elliott, Paul Olson, Phillip Brooks, Jacob Kent and Kasey Cathey. Honorary pallbearers are Dalon "Buffy' Abbott, Tafton Abbott, Geoff Abbott and Matt Hylemon.
