Raymond Higgs

Raymond Roy Higgs, 85 of Big Rock, TN passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Diversicare of Dover. He was born March 23, 1932 in Owensboro, KY son of the late James and Pearl Arnold Higgs. Mr. Higgs was retired Civil Service Boiler Operator, a farmer, U.S. Army veteran, a member of Bethel Church of God and a mason. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Taylor Higgs, sister, Nora Lee Higgs, brothers, James, Hugh, Hayden, William, Ruby, Charles, Arlie and Jessie Higgs. Survivors include his children, Dale Higgs, Big Rock, TN, Rickey Higgs (Pam), Paris, TN, Roger Higgs, Big Rock, TN, Rita Wallace (Rex), Big Rock, TN, Rosa Higgs, Big Rock, TN, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Aquila Penrod officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5-8:00 pm and on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 10-11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters.
