Raymond ‘Ray’ Charles Feijo, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Isabell Feijo, and his loving wife of 60 years, Verlene Feijo.

Raymond is survived by his three children: Kimberly Howell (Steve Howell) of Dover, TN; Katrina Feijo (Carl Everett) of Dover, TN; and Jason Feijo (Aimee Feijo) of Belleville, IL. He was a proud grandfather to Joshua Maxwell, Raymond Garrison, Manuel Maxwell, Zane Garrison, Izabella Feijo-Everett, and Mila Feijo. Raymond also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, a cherished sister, Adline Rose of Middletown, RI, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including his special friend, Denver "Bud" Mullen, with whom he served in Iceland during his time in the U.S. Air Force.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Raymond joined the Air Force at age 16, sparking a lifelong passion for service and community. He spent time traveling before settling in Belleville, IL, where he and his wife lived with her parents. They later moved to Mascoutah, IL, where they became well-known for their bakery, "My Home Bake Shop." After several more moves, Raymond and Verlene retired to Dover, TN, where he became an active member of Bear Springs Baptist Church, serving as head usher.

Raymond also contributed to his community as a member of the Stewart County Community Medical Board for over 12 years. He dedicated more than 27 years of his career to Southern Railway as a signal maintainer.
