Rannie Lewis

Mr. Rannie P. Lewis, age 87, of Big Rock, TN, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center. He was born January 20, 1935 in Indian Mound, TN son of the late Charlie and Eula Wyatt Lewis.

Mr. Lewis worked as a mechanic at Hadley Brothers John Deere Implement Co. for 26 years and then worked at Trane Company for 27 years until his retirement in 2015. He was a lifelong farmer and a loving husband, father, and Pap, who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Angie Lewis; son, Randall Lewis; grandson, Jeffery Seay; and siblings, Carlos Lewis, Charles Lewis, Robert Lewis, Alice Donnelly, Louise Curry, Charlene Thoni, Corrine Lewis, and Edna Lewis.

He is survived by his children, Tim Lewis, Donna Lancaster (Jerry), Diana Lanier (David); brother, Luton Lewis (Alma); grandchildren, Shawn Seay (Jami), Paul Lewis, Jared Lancaster (Alli), Rachel Taylor (William), Matthew Lanier (Becky), Daryl Lanier (Cheryl); and great grandchildren, Avery Seay, Brady Seay, Clyde Lewis, Knox Taylor, Adalyn Lancaster, Adrien Lancaster, Mallory Walker, Levi Walker, Waylon Lanier, Stella Lanier, and Lily Lanier.

The funeral service for Mr. Lewis will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Roper Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8 :00 pm on Monday at Anglin Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Pallbearers will be Jerry Lancaster, David Lanier, Tim Lewis, Shawn Seay, Paul Lewis, Jared Lancaster, William Taylor, and Charlie Hutchinson.
