Pila Patu

Pila Patu, Jr., age 74 of Dover, TN, was born on September 26, 1939 in Pago Pago, Tutuila, American Samoa. He entered into the eternal kingdom of peace on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Decatur, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2 p.m., at Anglin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home. Pila was in the 502nd Infantry, 101st Abn Division in 1960 and a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from the Civil Service and the Trane Company. Pila is preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Colson Patu; three sisters and five brothers. Survivors include his wife, Xin; his daughters, Nellie Patu-Torres and her husband, Anselmo "Dave" Torres, Jr., Grayson, GA and Margaret Ann Patu Hodges, Columbia, TN; five sisters, Olafou Patu-Scanlan, Virginia Patu-Samuelu, Fatuiva Julia Salave'a Fuavai, Elizabeth Merenaite Salave'a-Laolagi, Vaosa Kuresa-Hart; five brothers,Von Patu, Solomona Patu, Havili Patu, Finau Kuresa, Sipi Salave'a, Jr. and grandchildren, Victoria Torres, Rico Torres, Domenic Torres, Ashley Hodges and Grace Hodges.
