Mrs. Pil-Ja Ja Kim, age 72 of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, at her son's home in Nashville, TN. She was born on March 30, 1953, the beloved daughter of Gyung-Jae Lee and Jeong-Hee Park Lee.
Pil-Ja received her bachelor's degree and spent many years working as a clerical worker in the Doalnara Community. She loved her family and friends deeply and shared her kindness through countless acts of care. Pil-Ja was known for her generous hospitality, welcoming others into her home, sharing delicious meals, and treating friends and neighbors as family.
She took great joy in caring for the floral arrangements and gardens within the Doalnara Community, creating beautiful displays to honor loved ones both at home and during funeral services. Throughout her life, Pil-Ja was devoted to loving and helping others in every way she could. She was passionate in all her endeavors and had a sweet, strong and endearing spirit.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Pil-Ja leaves behind a loving and devoted family who will miss her deeply: her husband, Eun-Shik Kim; her son, John C. Kim of Nashville, TN; her daughter, Sandy J. Kim of Waco, TX; her brothers, Gil-Lam Lee and Gil-Hwan Lee; her sisters, Myung-Sook Lee and Hyang-Sook Lee, all of Korea; and two precious grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m., continuing until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Jung Ho Do officiating. Burial will follow at Doalnara Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
