Peggy Cook

Mrs. Peggy Ann Cook, age 89 of Sango, TN was called home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2023. She was born in Stewart County on October 4, 1934 the beloved daughter of the late James W. and Mildred Perrin Burkhart. Peggy was a member of Sango United Methodist Church. She was an avid crafter and made many ceramic pieces.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers; Delmer Burkhart, Willard Burkhart, Gene Burkhart and L.D. Burkhart.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Charles Irvin Cook; sisters, Faye Ziegler (Gary) of Slidell, LA; Brenda Smith (Kenneth) of Big Rock, TN; several cherished nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Smith Cemetery, Big Rock, TN at 12:30 pm with Bro. Willie Lyle officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
