Mrs. Naomi Jewell Lyon, age 86 passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at her home. She was born October 31, 1936 in Stewart County, TN daughter of the late Perry and Ella Wallace Earhart.
Mrs. Lyon was a graduate of Stewart County High School class of 1955. She attended Sycamore Flat Church of Christ. Mrs. Lyon worked as a cook in the cafeteria at North Stewart Elementary School where making desserts was her specialty. She also loved to shop and enjoyed dining out with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband J.C. Lyon and brother, Marshall Earhart.
She is survived by her loving children, Lisa Polarek (John) and James ‘Jimmy’ Lyon (Tammy), brother, Jim Earhart (Mary), sister, Bea Blane Earhart, grandchildren, Joel Polarek, Samuel Polarek (Heidi), Devan Flynn (Mike), Justin Malray (Sara), and Jeffery Malray (Chelsea), and four great grandchildren with one on the way.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
