Myrtle Bumpus

Mrs. Myrtle Bumpus, age 85 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her home with her loving husband and friends by her side. She was a loving and caring wife, aunt, sister and dear friend to many. She loved working puzzles, had a love and passion for animals, there wasn’t an animal she wouldn’t help. She was a faithful servant, a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ode and Mary Brown Rose, one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 23 years, James Bumpus, step-daughter; Rachel Hall of Clarksville, TN, several nieces and nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 12:00 pm and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Gene Keatts officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Mitchell Ross, Andy Torok, Shelly Torok, Steve Dozier, Carlton Guye, and Erik Batey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe make to Stewart County Humane Society, American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
