Myra Mims-Barry

Myra Anne Mims-Barry, age 82 of Dover, TN passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025 at Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN with her loving husband by her side. Born on May 30, 1942 in Fryeburg, LA the beloved daughter of the late Gilbert and Sibyl Haddox Mims.

Myra was deeply honored and proud to be a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. As an active member of the Dover Organization, she contributed meaningfully to her community. A devoted homemaker, Myra dedicated herself to making each day special for herself and her husband. Together, they enjoyed a fulfilling life, traveling to numerous countries during his time in Civil Service. After retirement, they settled in Dover, where they found peace and tranquility in their surroundings. Myra’s warmth, love, and kindness touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her cherished husband, Michael Barry; daughter, Virginia Landry, Shreveport, LA; sister, Sue Liles, Minden, LA; 2 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Sunday, February 23, 2025 beginning at 12:00 pm, with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 2:00 pm, followed with a Service of Remembrance with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating.
