Morris Downs

Morris Otho Downs, Jr., 71, Cumberland City, TN passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Artist Waynick officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 5-8:00 pm and on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 12-2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. He was born January 9, 1942 in Stewart Co., TN son of the late Otho Morris Downs, Sr. and Elsie Mae Jones Downs. Mr. Downs was a factory worker at Tennessee Wire. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Downs, W.L. Downs, James Lee Downs and sister, Patsy Ann Downs. Survivors include his sons, Brent Downs, TX and John Downs (Kristi), Cumberland City, TN; daughter, Mary Clark (Joe), Clarksville, TN; brother, Weldon Downs (Rita), Erin, TN; sisters, Shirley Thiel (Larry), Beaumont, TX, Kay Winn(Stan), Garden Prairie, IL ,Dean Gray(late Mitchell), Tenn. Ridge, TN and six grandchildren.
