Monroe Boren

Monroe Boren, age 79, of Dover, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Houston County Community Hospital. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 30, at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. George Miller to officiate, burial will follow in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Monday and from 12:00 pm until the time of service Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born September 28, 1933 in Tharpe, TN son of the late Luther and Lerlean Knight Boren. Mr. Boren was a janitor for the Stewart Co. Board of Education. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Louise Earon, Faye Wofford and Wanda Stack. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Fox Boren, Dover, TN; son, Jeffery Wayne Boren, Dover, TN; daughter, Teresa Lynn Boren, Dover, TN; brothers, Joe Boren, Dover, TN and Larry Boren, Hopkinsville, KY; sisters, Mattie Lou Hooks, Metropolis, IL, Jane Oneal, Dover, TN, Robbye Wallace, Dover, TN, Carolyn Earhart, Granite City, IL and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Thomas Carder, Steven Wynn, Brandon Wynn, Randy Miles, Gregg Miles and Jeff Boren.
