Mildred Mervene Jackson, age 89, of Dover, passed away, Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Grace Healthcare of Clarksville. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN with Truman Miller to officiate, burial will follow at Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service Monday at Anglin Funeral Home.
She was born August 16, 1924, in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late, Nelson Lee and Artie Bell Downey Compton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Jackson, son, Henry Jackson, Jr., brother, John Compton, sisters, Nancy Chadwick and Beula Miller.
Survivors include her sisters, Sue Lange, Clarksville, TN and Katherine Miller, Nashville, TN, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Junior Miller, Billy Miller, Stanley Miller, Randy Compton, and Ronnie Miller.
