Mike Dean, age 75, of Dover, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Henry County Hospital, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dyersburg, TN, the son of Enlow McAdoo and Mary Frances McCuley Dean.
Mike loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw. He cherished having his family together, sharing a good home-cooked meal prepared by Louise, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and making memories that will be passed down through the generations.
Mike loved the Lord and put Him first in all things. He sought the Lord’s plan in His Word through study and prayer, asking for wisdom and guidance in every aspect of his life. He faithfully served as an elder and was a devoted member of Dover Church of Christ. He was always available to serve and help anyone in need. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and watching wildlife in the woods. He was a loyal employee of the Trane Company, where he worked until his retirement. After retirement, he worked various jobs, ranging from selling peaches to security with the Stewart County Sheriff Department. He was a graduate of Stewart County High School, Class of 1970.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Dean.
Mike leaves behind the family he loved dearly: his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Louise Dean; his son, Shawn Dean (Jenny); his daughter, April Dean Sills (Jason); his grandchildren, Logan Rorie and Kaycee Burkhart (Jacob); his great-grandchildren, Romie Ogle, Piper Ogle, and Bella Ogle; his sisters, Debbie Boswell (Robert), Sandra Wyatt, and Karen Monroe; along with many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, he will be cremated.
A visitation will be held at the Dover Church of Christ on Saturday, March 7, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Earl Claud, Van Herndon, and Cody Brown to officiate. Mike will be laid to rest at Stewart County Memorial Gardens.
