Melissa Mckinstry

Melissa Dean McKinstry, age 52, of Indian Mound, TN, passed peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home. She was born September 21, 1966 in Troy, New York, daughter of the late John and Patricia Massey Nealon. Mrs. McKinstry is a U.S. Navy Veteran. She also worked as a nurse and as a licensed real estate agent. She attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Clarksville, TN. Melissa was devoted to her family and lived for her husband, children, and two grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James McKinstry, brothers, David, Brion, and John Nealon.
Survivors include her sons, Scott Murphy, Indian Mound, TN, Steven Murphy (Amy), Valparisio, IN, brothers, Shawn Nealon, North Carolina, Scott Nealon, Blaik Nealon, and Jamie Nealon, all of New York, sisters, Wendy DiGiovanni, New York, Robin Szanc, Florida, Melody Nealon and Helen Nealon, both of North Carolina, and two grandchildren, Gunner and Hayden Murphy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee.
