McVeigh Harvey

Mrs. McVeigh J. Harvey, age 87, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 30, 1938, the beloved daughter of Aruther and Madge Woodroff Hershey.

McVeigh was a devoted wife of 57 years, a loving mother of three, proud grandmother of ten, and cherished "GG" to eight great-grandchildren. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally. A woman of strong faith, McVeigh devoted much of her life to reading God's word and was a faithful member of Dunbar Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aruther and Madge Hershey; her husband, Kermit D. Harvey; six brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her children: daughter Sandra Turner (Marty), and sons Brad Harvey and Michael Harvey (Unyong); grandchildren: Brad II, Gerald, Joshua, Sawyer, Raven, Mathew, Michelle, Alicia, Shannon, and Billy; and great-grandchildren: Gavin, Sophia, Sawyer, Juliet, DeLacey, Carter, Eleanor, and Maribel.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., with Bro. Sam Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gavin, Sawyer, and Carter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. McVeigh Harvey be made to Dunbar Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
